Firefighters to the Rescue!

Today we went to visit Fireman Daniel at Nashville's Firehouse #19. It is the largest and busiest station in the state of Tennessee. Quentin and Ash got a tour of the station and learned about all the different trucks & equipment they use to fight fires and rescue people. They saw the huge fire truck with a ladder that stretches 105 feet...that's 11 stories high! Quentin got the chance to flip on the siren while me and Ash cheered him on. It was a wonderful treat for all of us! Afterwards, we went to McDonald's.

Move Up Day!

It's back to school time and summer is quickly coming to an end!

The boys had "move up day" at Nashville Christian School.

Ashton moved from the Older Infants Room to the Toddler Class.

His teachers are Mrs. Laura and Mrs. Leah.

In this class, they sleep on mats, sit at a table, practice self feeding

and (eventually) work on potty training. Of course,

they also sing songs and play a lot.

Many of his friends from the old room moved with him and there are a few

newbies in the bunch. Ash really likes the swings and buggy rides!

Many of you may remember, Quentin started Pre-K in

January at Abintra Montessori.

We decided it was best for Q to attend Nashville Christian's Pre-K , since he was there all summer! So around mid-July, we met with the Director and got him on the waiting list keeping our fingers crossed! So this month he moved from his Summer Camp Class to the "Big School".

His teachers are Mrs. Tracy and Ms. Suzanne.

Several of his buddies from Ms. Ola's summer class are in his new class.

He loves the Fishy Playground

where he races his friends and climbs the monkey bars.

I'd say they are both staying busy at school...they were wiped out last week on the ride home!

Hey Mr. Ice Cream Man!

All summer long, we keep popscicles, freeze pops and ice cream treats in the freezer as a cool refreshing treat...as well as bribery for weekend naps! Today, Daddy decided it was time the boys experience "The Ice Cream Man"! So when we were in the kitchen and heard his van come through the neighborhood with his familiar music blaring, Daddy grabbed the boys and a some money and headed to the curb. Due to inflation, the price of ice cream has gone up a
touch and I had to run some extra money out to Chris!!!
The boys were thrilled with their cool treat.
